Winners of Startup Boost Weekend Vol.4 announced
The fourth Startup Boost Weekend has taken place uniting around 130 students from universities and this time also from the UWC Dilijan school.
After 54 hours of learning, practicing, sharing and presnetation sessions between Feb. 22-24, 2019, with experienced mentors and succesful startup owners, 3 winning teams composed of university students were announced by the jury.
1st place - ARD Music
Smart music composer that helps young vloggers and gamers to solve the issue of finding music by generating personalized soundtracks based on their daily activities.
2nd place - Hush
A completely anonymous purchase and delivery system for sensitive products using pre-existing frameworks and smart contracts.????
3rd place - Yuu Vityuu is a Virtual Reality application that helps people with phobias to overcome their psychological problems through gaming and therapy.
The ''Startup Boost Weekend'' is an event for the startup community aiming at boosting entrepreneurship skills among the university students. It has been organised by Catalyst Foundation in partnership with Armenian universities, Rostelecom Armenia and supported by EU-SMEDA project for the fourth time already.

The 3rd Regional WE Club took place in Sisian, Syunik Region on September 27 organised by the consortium of Goris Women Resource Center and Mirhav hotel. The latter are the successors of the WE Club platform in Syunik Region. The topic of the event was “Art of Sales”.
"Think Bigger, Think Future "- the Women Entrepreneurs' Workshop was held on August 28th organised by SMEDA project, aiming at summing up the series of activities on enhancing women entrepreneurship implemented by the project through it WE Clubs, WE Talks and working groups. It gathered leading women entrepreneurs, BMO representatives, advisers and trainers in Armenia to exchange and share their experiences on successful models for women entrepreneurship, discuss the current challenges and suggest strategic approaches for further development and promotion of women empowerment topic. The event hosted special guests form Germany and Georgia: Tinatin Rukhadze, Jean Elsner and Amelia Omerika, who eagerly shared and presented their success stories with useful tips during the "Mentorship and Coaching for Women Entrepreneurs" event following the workshop.
The message delivered by Tinatin Rukhadze, founder of a consulting company in Georgia, trainer and coach was that if a woman wants to be successful she should be strong and believe in herself, and only after that the rest of the world will believe in what she does. Do not be afraid to try and challenge, be strong and patient on your way to success, this was one of the inspiring messages to the Armenian women entrepreneurs.
The event was concluded by screening of the film on Women Heroes, produced by EU-SMEDA project:
