Competition is open to companies with technology background, as e.g. in the field of Engineering, CleanTech, Biotech, Advanced ICT (e.g. AI, Blockchain) etc., who are registered in the Republic of Armenia and are able to provide necessary co-financing. The “Support to SME Development in Armenia (SMEDA)” Project seeks to contract a local company for production of a Marketing Package for the Armenian delegation to Hannover Messe 2018. SMEDA supports five Armenian Precision Engineering and IoT companies, representatives of Alliance, Meridian and Meghri Free Economic Zones, Gyumri and Vanadzor Techno Parks and the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia (MEDI) to be part of this year's Hannover Messe 2018 trade fair with a joint stand, followed by a roadshow in German companies. All interested companies may apply by sending their applications (financial, technical offers) to GIZ Office according to the procedure described in Call for Proposals by February 16th, 2018. The “Support to SME development in Armenia” (SMEDA) project is supporting the EAVE on Demand Producers Workshop in Armenia 2018, aimed at producers, both fiction and documentary, who are interested in developing their feature film project during a 3-day intensive training program outside of Yerevan from April 12 to 16. The consultancy will be given by internationally renowned EAVE experts -the European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, which is one of the leading training and development providers for producers in Europe, renowned for its EAVE Producers Workshop. This workshop is initiated and implemented by Independent Filmmakers' Club of Armenia with SMEDA's support.

The “Support to SME development in Armenia” (SMEDA) project, in cooperation with Tom Fleming Creative Consultancy and Goldsmiths University of London, will organise a 3-day training for Armenian startups and 1- day training for marketing companies. The training will cover the stat-up journey that businesses need to go on to successfully achieve funding, with a particular focus on gearing up for crowdfunding. It is aimed at entrepreneurs currently developing innovative products and services, ideas and solutions and will equip them with the skills and knowledge to promote, raise interest and eventually obtain investments and funding.
