Startups learnt story-telling for successful crowdfunding campaigns
SMEDA has organised a 4-day training for 12 selected startups interested in crowdfunding techniques. With an expert from UK based Tom Fleming creative consultancy they were introduced to the journey that businesses need to go on to successfully achieve funding, with a particular focus on gearing up for crowdfunding, learning how to promote, raise interest and eventually obtain investments and funding for their innovative products and services, ideas and solutions. Some of the topics of the training were Building business maps based on the assets and communities the startups require to succeed; Creating a story for the business; Value Creation and Relationship Modelling, etc. The last session was delivered by Narek Vardanyan from Crowd Funding Formula with presentation of practical sides of crowdfunding campaigns and how they work as well as success stories like Volterman’s crowdfunding campaign. To highlight the significance of the upcoming "Fashion Forum Yerevan 2019" on June 25-29, 2019, a press conference was held at the RA Ministry of Economy jointly with the Tourism Committee of RA.
With the support of EU-SMEDA project, the second “Innovative ideas for tourism development in Armenia” Hackathon was successfully held on 18-19 May 2019 in Vanadzor, organised by Vanadzor Technology Center (VTC), the Enterprise Incubator Foundation and Lori region’s administration in cooperation with the Tourism Committee of the RA.
From April 15-19, 2019 the managers and leading staff of Enterprise Incubator Foundation and Armenian Technology centers: Gyumri Technology Center, Vanadzor Technology Center and Engineering City, visited Ljubljana’s Technology Park in Slovenia. The study visit aimed at learning and knowledge transfer on business support and innovation ecosystem environment in Technology park of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
